Get Set, Graduate

Ooooooooooookay,

so this will probably be my last blog post as a student ever. I have two finals coming up on 15th and 19th, and then say goodbye to university life. I still can’t really decide what position I really want; I’ve been having a dilemma between front-end and full-stack. That doesn’t really matter I guess, both aren’t much different based on my stacks anyway.

Last few weeks were also the assignments period. I gotta admit I didn’t do as well as I wanted, just didn’t have enough motivation for it I’d say. I looked at them and thought wow this should be easy and they sound fun, but the only things in my head were my personal PWA project and getting a job. This kinda led me to a realisation: I have always thought of university as a place to accumulate my academic achievements, thinking that I’d never do well in anything if I can’t even do well in it. After a hard struggle with my mental health and school, and to eventually get through it, I now see university as a place to discover myself. It’s been around 4 years since I started coding, but it’s not until the past 6 months and I realised how much I enjoy web development. Well, silver lining, at least now I know my path!

Finally, I managed to come up with an idea for my H-U-G-E personal project. To put it another way, I have finally channelled my addiction passion for RuneScape into something productive. The project is current in an early stage because I’ve been busy with school, but now that assignments are out of the way, time to get started! The downside of this is now that I’m into web development, everything just feels boring to me. Well, at least I got through that, once I graduate those will not matter anymore

After writing this, I swear it’s the most unorganised blog I’ve ever written. However, sorry not sorry, my mind has been occupied thinking about exams and jobs. Priorities, heh? I’ll keep you updated if anything comes up with job and my projects.

Peace y’all,

Husk
